Householders will find it difficult being able to replace their existing windows if they live in a conservation area or Listed Building as there are strict guidelines in place. Not many window systems satisfy the rules, but Residence 9 is one of the few window systems that makes the grade and gratifies planners. Residence 9 is actually a perfect recreation of a 19th Century flush sash timber window and has all the same dimensions and proportions. It even comes with authentic hardware (monkeytail handles and genuine stays). However, it is manufactured from UPVC instead of wood.
This installation highlights the brilliance of Residence 9. It offers such slender sightlines and can also incorporate Georgian bars when stipulated as many traditional flush sash windows would come with Georgian bars too. On the inside of each window is a very deep cill which comes in handy for displaying ornaments, plants, photographs etc. A white finish got the thumbs up from the customer, but you can also have Residence 9 in colours like Cotswold Biscuit, Painswick and English Oak. We have to commend them on that choice of finish as the white makes the trim sightlines and Georgian bars extra prominent.
