A Remote Drumbeg Residence Restyled
In the very remote crofting village of Drumbeg, on the northwestern coast, famous for its spectacular mountain backdrops, a resident tentatively enquired online, uncertain if ERG Scotland serviced their isolated area for a home refresh. It absolutely fell within our catchment, as we cover the whole of the Highlands. So, they were advised we would be more than happy to come out and quote for whatever enhancements they had in mind.
Our visiting salesperson was informed by the customer that they wanted their existing frames replaced as they were almost two decades old. Any incoming designs chosen would also have to display a different colour finish to the current openings to give the property a brand-new aesthetic.
After carrying out the all-important measurements, a plethora of suitable options were presented, with guidance given on potential colour alternatives and insight offered on composite doors. Highly impressed by what they heard and were shown, it prompted them to rethink their original plan.
Initially, they were just going to replace the current front door and front-of-house windows and then upgrade the rear of the building, including its roofline, in a few years’ time. But they chose to dismiss this idea and instead informed the salesperson of an urge to progress with the full project straightaway: that’s the ERG effect.
Old Rosewood-coloured frames were traded in for Chartwell Green replacements to transform and enhance the home’s character and put the customer’s stamp on it, coupled with well-matched black fascias, soffits and guttering.
A week is all it took for us to seamlessly reimagine the charming residence: roofline completed in four days and three days to conclude the integration of windows and doors.
The occupier’s reaction to the home renewal couldn’t have been more complimentary, loving how it’s evolved its appearance and left it better equipped to withstand the elements.
Compared to how the house looked before, it’s undeniable that ERG has succeeded in boosting its visual impact, front and back.
