Window Love Stories: How Our Customers Rediscovered Love For Their Homes

At ERG Scotland, we understand that February isn’t just about romantic gestures between people; it can also be about rekindling the love affair with your home.

We’re thrilled to share heartwarming stories of customers who have reignited their affection for their homes through the transformative power of our windows.

Among those delighted with their home improvements are Mrs Geall and Tom & Jordan. Since upgrading their windows with ERG Scotland, they’ve rediscovered their love for their homes.

In pursuit of serenity

Mrs Geall’s home, standing proudly for almost a century, exudes a timeless charm. Yet, this charm was overshadowed by the nuisance of outdated, poorly insulating windows, which let in draughts and rattled with each gust of wind.

In pursuit of serenity, Mrs Geall turned to us for assistance, where she found solace in our slimline aluminium windows. The sleek design not only offered expansive views but also alleviated the need for constant maintenance.

With the installation of the new windows, Mrs Geall’s home now serves as a sanctuary, shielding her from external disturbances and draughts.

A love story across time

“I’ve cherished living in this house for decades, but I’ve fallen in love with it all over again because of the improvements that have been made.

Those old windows were quite the hassle, but with my new slimline aluminium ones, it feels like a breath of fresh air.

No more rattling in the wind or disruptive outside noises. Just peace and quiet, as it should be.”

Tom and Jordan’s renovation story

Tom and Jordan, the proud owners of a charming 1920s period cottage, wanted to infuse their beloved home with a touch of modern elegance. Armed with a photograph from the 50s for inspiration, their vision encompassed updating the cottage while preserving its timeless charm.

With roots deeply entrenched in family history, the cottage had been passed down through generations, with Tom’s great grandparents, grandad, and three younger brothers among its previous occupants.

Drawing inspiration from the cottage’s original windows, they opted for Grey Envisage Flush Windows, embarking on a journey to redefine their home for the new generation.

Preserving tradition, embracing modernity

“It was important that our new windows complement the cottage’s historic character, creating a blend of old and new.

With each carefully curated detail, we intended to pay homage to my family’s legacy while carving out a space uniquely our own.

I am confident that our efforts would make my family proud, keeping the spirit of tradition alive for generations to come.”
